Maharashtra to call bids to widen Pune-Banglore highway

Maharashtra government will soon invite bids for widening of the Pune-Bangalore highway to six lanes. The major highways passing through Pune like Pune-Nashik, Pune-Satara-Kolhapur and Pune-Solapur have four lanes.
There is a need for widening these to six lanes to handle the growing vehicular traffic. The state government will invite bids to widen the Pune-Bangalore highway to six lanes. The State government will also widen the Pune-Mumbai highway to six lanes wherever needed.
